According to Miami media on November 6th Beijing time, the residence of Heat head coach Spoelstra experienced a fire early Thursday morning local time, confirmed by an assistant coach to local news.


The fire was reported shortly after 4:30 a.m., at a home on Southwest 80th Street. Officials said firefighters found two buildings in the neighborhood engulfed in flames upon arrival. The fire department stated: “We have raised the alarm to level two to deploy additional personnel. Due to partial structural collapse, rescue teams have switched to defensive firefighting tactics and are still battling the fire.”

Video footage from the scene shows Coach Spoelstra looking distressed outside his home. So far, no casualties have been reported.
According to dispatch records, nearly 30 rescue units are currently handling the situation on site.
Reports indicate the house was built in 1985, covering 5,700 square feet (approx. 530 square meters), featuring 5 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, situated on a 43,000 square foot (about 3,995 square meters) lot, with a 2025 assessed value of $5.6 million.

The Heat played in Denver Wednesday night local time and returned to Miami early Thursday morning. Unexpectedly, Coach Spoelstra faced this fire upon arrival. The Heat currently hold a 4-4 record, ranking 9th in the Eastern Conference.
