New odds for regular season MVP: Alexander beats Jokic to top Wemban's fifth, Duku tied for sixth

On January 9, Beijing time, ESPN forwarded the latest odds for the MVP of the regular season, Alexander -150 rose to the top of the list, Jokic +130 ranked second, Brother Alphabet was third, Tatum was fourth, and Wembanyama came to fifth. Edwards, Mitchell, Brunson, Towns, Durant and Curry tied for sixth, while the Lakers' James and Bushy Eyebrows did not make it into the top six.

So far this season, Alexander's stats and team record have been excellent, and his biggest contender is Jokic. In the first 36 games, Alexander averaged 31.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 6.1 assists per game, shooting 52.2% from the field, 35.5% from three-point range and 89.0% from the free throw line. The Thunder are currently 30-6 and in first place in the West, and they are far ahead.

Jokic's stats aren't as good as Alexander's, if not better. So far this season, Jokic has played in 31 games, averaging 31.5 points, 13 rebounds and 9.7 assists per game, shooting 55.3% from the field, 47.3% from three-point range and 80.6% from the free throw line. However, the Nuggets' record is significantly worse than the Thunder, and they are currently 21-15 and ranked fourth in the West.

If both men can stay healthy, the regular season MVP award will most likely come between the two. In ESPN's first vote, Jokic had the upper hand, receiving 57 of the 100 first-place votes and topping the list with a total of 827 points. Alexander ranked second with 678 points and Brother Alphabet ranked third with 643 points.

However, considering the Thunder's recent 15-game winning streak and Alexander's excellent performance, many reporters said that they are looking forward to ESPN's second vote to see if the opinions of media people will change.
