On October 6th Beijing time, Yang Hansen's girlfriend Iris posted new photos on Instagram with a message wishing everyone a happy and safe Mid-Autumn Festival. The set included a video of Hansen dancing with a small backpack displayed on the Trail Blazers' big screen, along with a snapshot of her with Hansen's translator Chris. It is evident that Iris and Hansen spent this Mid-Autumn Festival together in Portland.

The last time she updated her Instagram was in early August, when she shared some photos from a trip to Xinjiang. At that time, some fans also spotted her and Hansen traveling in Xinjiang. Now, both are in Portland; besides the dancing video and the photo with Chris, Iris also posted several sweet selfies and pictures of the local scenery.

Yang Hansen is about to begin his preseason journey. The Trail Blazers have scheduled four preseason games this season, facing the Warriors, Kings, Warriors again, and Jazz in order. Hansen performed well in the Summer League, dispelling some doubts, but since that competition does not match the NBA's intensity and level, his challenges will continue into the preseason.

According to official Trail Blazers team reports, Yang Hansen is likely to serve as the team's primary backup center at the start of the season, expected to average around 15 minutes per game. On one hand, his performance and skills have gradually earned the trust of coach Billups; on the other hand, Lowry has not yet resumed contact training, so the Trail Blazers will limit his playing time initially. For Hansen, this period of Lowry’s absence is a great chance to establish himself. If he adapts quickly and proves his worth through his play, it will be difficult for Lowry to reclaim significant minutes upon his return.
The Trail Blazers’ first preseason game will kick off on October 9th. Yang Hansen may face interior players like Horford, Post, and Jackson-Davis. What kind of performance will he deliver? Let’s wait and see.
