Insider Siegel:If one day Adebayo asks the Heat to trade him, he would be the Warriors’ primary trade target.
Wow, the Warriors are really squeezing the Heat hard? Getting Butler wasn’t enough; they also want their key big man.
However, the Butler and Adebayo pairing is highly attractive, having guided the Heat to two Finals runs.

US media ClutchPoints commented that Adebayo is a younger, more versatile version of Draymond Green, but the Heat value him highly, so the Warriors must offer very generous assets to have a chance at acquiring him.

Last season, Adebayo averaged 18.1 points, 9.6 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.3 steals per game in the regular season, shooting 48.5% from the field, 35.7% from three, and 76.5% from the line; in the playoffs, he averaged 17.5 points, 11 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1 steal per game, with shooting splits of 43.8%, 33.3%, and 63.6%.
He is currently under contract through the summer of 2029, with salaries of $37.1 million, $49.64 million, $53.61 million, and $57.58 million over the next four seasons, totaling around $200 million.

In his NBA career so far, Adebayo has been named to the All-Defensive First Team once, the All-Defensive Second Team four times, and has made three All-Star appearances, among other honors.
In recent years, he has continuously expanded his skill set, especially improving his mid-to-long range shooting and becoming more threatening as a passer.
In short, it’s no surprise the Warriors are interested in Adebayo, as they have long wanted a new Draymond Green—he is essentially an offensively enhanced version of Draymond.

Of course, this trade is unlikely to happen soon, as there are no signs the Heat plan to let go of Adebayo, and he currently has no intention to leave. Plus, the Warriors don’t have enough assets right now, so for the time being, it’s just speculation.

The Warriors’ new season roster includes Curry, Butler, Draymond, and Horford, and all four have contracts expiring in the summer of 2027.This means their current championship window only lasts about two more years, after which the team will inevitably enter a new era seeking new foundational pieces.
