On October 3rd Beijing time, the Rockets' training camp went on, and after the session, Durant gave an interview discussing his impressions from the first three days and his role as a leader in the locker room. Udoka also talked about the preseason schedule.

Speaking about the Rockets: "The bond between everyone is very tight. The communication is very transparent. You can speak frankly without fear of offending others. I've always felt they are a very cohesive team. Especially Sengun and Amen, when I faced them as opponents, I noticed their great chemistry. But being with them has made that feeling even stronger. Everyone is trying hard to understand each other, and these three days of training have been very enjoyable."

Durant said about Udoka: "He has always been one of those who understands what I bring, my mindset, and my approach to the game. He has respected that and given me the space to be myself, so that was one of the first things I thought about when coming to Houston."

When asked about Shepherd’s impressive drives and scoring early in camp, Durant mentioned that Shepherd’s performance was outstanding. He also noted that Thompson’s athleticism is unlike anything he has seen before, especially when guarding him on the court, that feeling becomes even more apparent.
Coach Udoka also spoke to reporters after practice. When asked whether the starting lineup would be flexible or fixed at the beginning of the new season, he responded accordingly.

Udoka stated that starters will not play in every preseason game, especially during the demanding "back-to-back" schedules. He said the rotation in the preseason will be similar to last season — some starters might only play one or two halves and at most one full game.
The Rockets will rest tomorrow but will resume training over the weekend to prepare for their first preseason game.
