Signed, sealed! Hello, number 12 Zeng Fanbo! The Nets have officially released their roster.

Congratulations,Zeng Fanbo has officially signed an Exhibit-10 contract with the Nets.

Zeng Fanbo wears the number 12 jersey for the Nets, the same number he wore while playing for the NBA G League Ignite team in the 21-22 season.

The Nets have now released their 21-man training camp roster, and Zeng Fanbo is listed among the players.

Although the current contract is only an Exhibit-10, Zeng Fanbo can earn a two-way contract before the start of the 25-26 regular season through his performance in training camp and preseason, which would qualify him to participate in the upcoming NBA regular season and fulfill his dream of playing at the highest level of basketball in the world.

According to several American journalists’ reports, Zeng Fanbo is a strong contender for the Nets’ final two-way contract spot.

The Nets’ preseason schedule this year is as follows:

October 5th, home game against Israeli club Hapoel Jerusalem;

October 10th and 12th, two games in Macau, China against the Suns;

October 18th, away game versus the Raptors.

Standing 2.08 meters tall, Zeng Fanbo is a versatile forward who can play both the small and power forward positions. He boasts accurate shooting and excellent athleticism, can defend positions 1 through 5, and has sharp shot-blocking instincts. Last season in the CBA regular season, he averaged 14.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.5 blocks per game, with a three-point shooting percentage of 40.5%. In the playoffs, he averaged 15 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, and 1.6 blocks per game, shooting 43.3% from beyond the arc.

If he does not secure a two-way contract, since he signed an Exhibit-10 deal, Zeng Fanbo can still play for the Nets’ affiliate team, the Long Island Nets, in the G League while continuing to wait for an NBA opportunity. Alternatively, he could choose to return to Beijing to continue competing in the CBA.

Last season, the Beijing team finished as runners-up. During this summer’s offseason, they acquired China national team captain Zhao Rui from the Xinjiang team to join stars like Chen Yingjun and Zhou Qi. If Zeng Fanbo returns, they will be one of the most competitive teams in the CBA for the new season, if not the top contender.
