The 24-year-old guard confidently asserted on social media that he is capable of dunking over the Chinese basketball icon — the 7'6" Hall of Fame member Yao Ming.

Edwards posted a photo with Yao Ming on social media, captioning it: "I can dunk over Yao Ming, paying tribute to this legendary superstar." The Timberwolves’ official social media account shared Edwards’ words, adding: "Only Edwards would dare say something like this."

The photo of Edwards and Yao Ming sparked lively discussion among fans. Some commented, "Compared to Yao, he looks like a tiny shrimp." Others said, "Edwards standing next to him looks like just a fan." Some fans even expressed confidence that Edwards could dunk over Victor Wembanyama in the upcoming season.
