The Dodgers gave up three runs due to errors, and Kershaw stormed off the field, angrily throwing his glove and interrupting the post-game interview.

The Los Angeles Dodgers were swept by their fierce rivals, the Brewers, after the All-Star Game. On the 21st, starting left-handed pitcher Clayton Kershaw left the game after 4.1 innings, allowing three runs, with only one earned run. Kershaw was visibly upset when he was replaced in the fifth inning, and although a teammate reached out to encourage him, he forcefully threw his hat and glove onto the bench. Ultimately, the Brewers won 6-5, completing the sweep of the Dodgers in the series.

Kershaw did not allow any runs in the first three innings. In the fourth inning, with two outs and a runner on second, Blake Perkins hit a routine ground ball. Dodgers third baseman Tommy Edman made a hurried throw to first that went awry, allowing the Brewers to score one run. Following that, Andruw Monasterio’s single brought Perkins home, and Dodgers center fielder Andy Pages misplayed a fly ball, allowing Monasterio to score as well, resulting in a total of three runs scored in quick succession.

The Dodgers inexplicably lost their three-run lead. In the fifth inning, Pages made a spectacular catch against the wall on a deep fly ball, and Kershaw seemed to forgive him. However, when left fielder Esteury Ruiz made a catching error with one out, the Dodgers decided to pull Kershaw with runners on first and third. Ruiz later redeemed himself by hitting a solo home run in the bottom of that inning.

After the game, Kershaw remained angry about the unfortunate events of the day. He did not respond to media questions and left early, simply stating, "I have nothing to say. What I want to say might get me into trouble, so let’s just leave it at that."
