This year, international players including Malaysia, Indonesia, India and Japan will be in full swing, including Singapore's Loh Kean Yew, Japanese women's Yuka Miyazaki and Japan's mixed doubles pair Daiki Midorikawa/Natsu Saito.

The champion of the 2021 Badminton World Championships, the men's singles world ranking 11, Luo Jianyou, also served as a "mystery guest" on the 5th, he said at the press conference that he participated for the first time in 2012 and has played 6 or 7 times in Taipei so far.

The biggest highlight for the foreign players in the women's singles is 18-year-old rising star Yuka Miyazaki, who won gold at the 2022 World Junior Championships, broke out of the cocoon on tour last year, finishing runner-up at the Super 1000 Series China Open, and this year reaching the semi-finals at the Super 750 Series India Open, where she is currently ranked No. 8 in the world and is the top seed at Taipei, while South Korea's Shen Youzhen is looking to defend her title.

Mixed Doubles second seeds Daiki Midorikawa/Natsu Saito have a strong future, having only won the Super 500 Series Indonesia Masters this year, finished runners-up at the Asian Championships and are ranked ninth in the world, and will be the biggest potential rivals for top seeds Chinese Taipei's Yang Boxuan/Hu Ayafang.
