The last time Du Yiwei and Chen Tangjie combined was the Super 1000 All England Open Badminton Championships in mid-March, and the two had a best result this season in the Super 1000 Malaysia Open Badminton Championships and Super 750 India Open Badminton Championships to reach the semi-finals.

World No. 4 mixed doubles pair Du Yiwei/Chen Tangjie have decided to break up

According to the Malaysian Badminton Association, Du Yiwei and Tan Tang Kit ended their partnership, after which Du Yiwei will be paired with Lui Bingkun and Tan Tang Kit will be paired with Zeng Wenshi, and the two new pairs will participate in the next five Super Tour events. In addition, Chen Tangjie will take on the men's doubles event, and his partner is Huang Yongxiang, who is expected to play in the Chinese Taipei Open Badminton Championships.
