On the 12th local time, according to the ITTF and South Korea's domestic men's and women's industrial teams, Shin Yubin and Jang Yuzhen entered the list of 48 invited objects for additional selection based on the world rankings in March. As a result, Shin Yubin, who is ranked 10th in the world in the women's category, and Zhang Yuzhen, who is ranked 12th in the men's and women's categories, will participate in the men's and women's World Cups in Macau from April 14 to 20.

Previously, the top four players in major competitions on all continents, including the Asian Cup, won the right to participate in the World Cup early. In the men's group, including the Asian Cup champions Wang Chuqin (world No. 2), Lin Shidong (No. 1), Liang Jingkun (No. 3, all of the above are China), and in the women's group, including Asian Cup champion Sun Yingsha (world No. 1), Wang Manyu (No. 2), Chen Xingtong (No. 4), and Kuo Man (No. 7, all of the above are China) confirmed their participation early.

In addition to Jang Woo-jin, South Korean male players also won tickets to the competition according to the world rankings, Ahn Jae-hyun (21st), Cho Dae-sung (23rd), and Oh Jun-sung (37th).

In the women's group, in addition to Shin Yubin, South Korean women's players Seo Hyo-won (22nd), Kim Na-young (39th), and Lee Eun-hye (41st) also took the last train of the World Cup.

In addition, at last year's World Cup, Ma Long, the national table tennis general who announced his retirement, achieved three consecutive championships in the men's group, and Sun Yingsha, the strongest player in the women's group, won the championship for the first time.
