Hao-Yu Lee clinched the game with a walk-off! With two outs in the top of the ninth, he delivered a clutch double that sparked an incredible comeback.

The Detroit Tigers' offense appeared to be asleep for the entire game, suddenly jolting to life at the final moment.

With only one out left, infielder Hao-Yu Lee accurately hit the ball into the right-center field gap, a double that drove in both runners. This not only saved the Tigers from being blanked but also gave them a one-run lead in the blink of an eye.

After that, Keider Montero successfully closed the door in the bottom of the ninth, completing a brilliant 3.1-inning relief stint without allowing a run. The Tigers miraculously rallied to defeat the Los Angeles Angels 2-1.

"I asked the hitting coach, 'What does that fastball look like to you?'" Hao-Yu Lee recounted the strategy after the game. "The coach said it looked more like a two-seamer, so I was looking for the outside pitch. When it started outside, it would come back inside." Lee also revealed that when he reached second base, his mind went completely blank from excitement.

The dramatic comeback began in the top of the ninth. Leadoff hitter Dillon Dingler was hit by a pitch with two strikes to reach base. Then Spencer Torkelson flied out, but Riley Greene drew a walk, putting pressure on the Angels pitcher. With runners on first and second and one out, despite left-handed hitter Kerry Carpenter being at the plate, the Tigers boldly executed a double steal. However, Carpenter ended up hitting a fly ball to left field for the second out, forcing the runners to scramble back to their bases. Tigers manager A.J. Hinch explained afterward, "Our offense struggled to string anything together all night. We were aggressive on the bases because we simply couldn't get consecutive hits."

That failed steal ultimately set the stage for Hao-Yu Lee's dramatic two-run double when the team was pushed to the brink.
