As MLB officially transitions into the offseason, the futures of numerous free agents are under close watch. Kyle Tucker, last season’s Chicago Cubs outfielder, stands out as one of the most sought-after players on the free agent market. On November 10, MLB’s official site conducted a poll among 46 experts, with the majority predicting Tucker will join the Los Angeles Dodgers next season.
This offseason’s free agent market is crowded with stars, and the official site invited 46 experts to forecast the new teams for 13 key free agents. Leading the list, outfielder Kyle Tucker received support from over half the experts to join the defending champion Dodgers. Meanwhile, 20% and 13% of experts predicted he would sign with the San Francisco Giants and New York Yankees respectively, while expectations for him to return to the Cubs remain relatively low.
At 28 years old, Tucker missed some games last season due to a fractured right hand and a left leg strain, but still posted solid stats in 136 games, hitting .266 with 22 home runs and 25 stolen bases. Although the Dodgers’ lineup is already star-studded, their outfield defense remains a weak point. According to the official analysis, signing Tucker would significantly enhance both offense and defense, helping the Dodgers build an almost flawless roster.
