MLB National League Silver Slugger Award Winners Announced; Shohei Ohtani Claims Third Consecutive Title

The 2025 MLB National League Silver Slugger Award winners were officially revealed this morning Beijing time. Here is the complete list of recipients by position:

First Base: Pete Alonso (New York Mets)
Alonso secured his first Silver Slugger by leading all National League first basemen in 38 home runs, 126 RBIs, 41 doubles, and a .871 OPS. He is the first Mets first baseman to win this honor since Keith Hernandez in 1984.

Second Base: Ketel Marte (Arizona Diamondbacks)
At 32 years old, Marte posted a .283 batting average, 28 home runs, and a .893 OPS, earning him back-to-back Silver Slugger awards. His OPS was nearly 100 points higher than the second-best second baseman in the NL, and his home run total led by 10. He is the first Diamondbacks player to repeat as Silver Slugger since Paul Goldschmidt in 2017-18.

Third Base: Manny Machado (San Diego Padres)
Machado achieved his second consecutive Silver Slugger with a .275 batting average, 27 home runs, and 95 RBIs, marking the third time in his career he has won the award. He is the first Padres player to earn at least three Silver Sluggers since Tony Gwynn in 1997.

Shortstop: Geraldo Perdomo (Arizona Diamondbacks)
Perdomo had a breakout season, hitting 20 home runs and driving in 100 runs over 597 plate appearances, with a 136 OPS+. He also set a career-high with 27 stolen bases, becoming the first shortstop in Diamondbacks history to achieve the "20-20" milestone and win a Silver Slugger.

Outfielder: Juan Soto (New York Mets)
At 26, Soto won his sixth Silver Slugger, becoming the youngest player after Mike Trout and Alex Rodriguez to reach this milestone. He set career highs with 43 home runs, led the NL with 38 stolen bases, and topped the majors with 127 walks this season.

Outfielder: Corbin Carroll (Arizona Diamondbacks)
The 25-year-old Carroll joined the "30-30 club" for the first time in team history with 31 home runs and 32 stolen bases. He posted a .259 batting average and a .884 OPS. Carroll led the NL in triples for the third straight year (17) and tied for fifth in the majors with 80 extra-base hits.

Outfielder: Kyle Tucker (Chicago Cubs)
Despite suffering injuries in the second half, Tucker finished with a .266/.377/.464 slash line and achieved his third "20-20" season in four years. He became the first Cubs outfielder to win a Silver Slugger since Sammy Sosa in 2002.

Catcher: Hunter Goodman (Colorado Rockies)
Goodman, the Rockies' 2025 All-Star representative, hit 31 home runs and drove in 91 runs, accumulating 281 total bases and a .843 OPS. He is the first catcher in Rockies history to win a Silver Slugger and the first Rockies player to win since Trevor Story in 2019.

Designated Hitter: Shohei Ohtani (Los Angeles Dodgers)
Ohtani set a Dodgers franchise record with 55 home runs, led the majors with 146 runs scored, and stole 20 bases. For the third consecutive year, he topped the NL in slugging percentage (.622), OPS (1.014), OPS+ (179), and total bases (380), securing his third straight Silver Slugger.

Utility Player: Alec Burleson (St. Louis Cardinals)
At 26, Burleson posted a .290 batting average with 18 home runs, 69 RBIs, and a .801 OPS. He is the fourth different winner of the NL utility player Silver Slugger in its four-year history and the first Cardinal to win since Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado in 2022.

Offensive Team of the Year: Los Angeles Dodgers
The Dodgers led the National League in runs scored (825), home runs (244), walks (580), OPS (.768), and total bases (2415), with their home run total ranking third in franchise history. This marks the second consecutive year the reigning World Series champions have been named the NL's best offensive team.
