Nguyễn Thùy Linh advances to the semifinals of the Korean Badminton Open

She played aggressively and defended tenaciously, causing difficulties for Thùy Linh in long rallies. The Vietnamese player kept chasing but fell behind 17-12 and then 20-16, as Lee So Yul held four chances to close the set. However, the resilience of the second seed shone through. Nguyễn Thùy Linh erupted with five consecutive points to level at 20-20, then brilliantly clinched the set 23-21, sealing the match 2-0 after 36 minutes.
With this victory, Nguyễn Thùy Linh earns a place in the women’s singles semifinals of the 2025 Korean Masters, where she will face the winner between Pitchamon Opaniputh (Thailand) and Hina Akechi (Japan).
